Details: Mercury Cougar is located in St. Louis, MO.  Owner emailing pictures April 30.  She inherited this car from her father and has not seen it recently but so she is driving to St. Louis weekend of Apr 27-28 to get more info and take pictures.

She does know that the floorboards had rust the last time she saw it and she thinks it just sat for the last five years.  After she looks the car over and gets more detailed info, we will be able to set a price.

Facts and History on Mercury Cougar in general

Lincoln-Mercury first used the name Cougar in 1967.  This is a genuine muscle car.  The name Cougar related to many different cars manufactured over the next thirty years.  Early Cougars were based on the Mustang but within three years, Cougar could be compared with the Thunderbird and Contour.

The 1967 Mercury Cougar we are offering for sale on our site is a first generation Cougar.  Another way of looking at it is to say it is a second-generation Mustang.  The XR-7 Cougar was considered the luxury model with wood grained dash and steering wheel and other luxuries, like a T-shifter and leather seats.  The GT Cougar had a big block engine
