Rust bucket cars and forgotten old trucks

Spotting a vintage car in the dark shadows of a barn lean-to is exciting, almost as exciting as finding a morel mushroom in the spring.

We have seen a pre-war Chevrolet pickup truck with homemade camper over the bed.  I got shivers from the scene, I could almost feel the homeless desperation of the family headed west but making it only this far.  It reminded me of the Grapes of Wrath era and actually, today as well.

Tweet and I could feel the desperation of whoever had once lived in that old truck.  Five large walnut trees grew closely around the rust bucket truck preventing anyone from hauling the old truck away.
