Enjoy the Experience of 1950
If you are confused, just call us and we'll walk you in.  Coming here is like going back in time to the 1950s so enjoy the experience.  Although since our last tornado destroyed so much, folks are starting to rebuild more in line with the 21st century, which is a disappointment to us.

The Missouri Map presented here is to give you an idea of what part of Missouri we are located in.  Springfield, MO is 65 miles south, Kansas City, MO is about 200 miles north, Lake of the Ozarks is 30 miles east, and we live right on Pomme de Terre Lake about 2 miles southeast of Nemo, MO.

Just a humorous note: We have had guys come in from other states and since two of them have had GPS they declined directions after they got in the area.  We tried to tell them GPS won't find anything here but they didn't think we knew much about it.

After awhile they called us back.  "OK," they said. "We can't find you."  This is a rural area without street signs and our zip codes are whacked on to our address rather randomly, depending on which post office you get assigned.  There is a town every five miles and you pay long distance phone charges to call anywhere unless it's your next door neighbor.

Local folks give directions this way:  "Take a right at the old Water Slide that shut down about ten years ago and go to the third place on your right.  If you see an old barn caving in, you've missed us so turn around and retrace your steps.  There's a bottle tree by a red bridge.  You can't miss it."

We get directions like that absolutely every time we head out to see an old project car or barn find.  We don't always find the place but it's a nice adventure anyway.
