Rated #1 -- This vehicle is an almost perfect original or a very well restored classic (body-off restoration or extremely well-done body-on restoration).  At a glance, this classic car or truck takes your breath away with its beauty. If it has a flaw, you are going to have to look hard for it. This classic car or truck operates like new in every way. All parts of this vehicle are original, NOS, or excellent quality reproductions. It's fantastic enough to go on the block at Barrett-Jackson's.  Because we deal in project cars, you might never see a #1 condition rating on any of our vehicles.

Rated #2 -- This vehicle looks great but it does show wear, though minimal.  It is a well-restored vehicle. Runs and drives smooth and tight. Needs no mechanical or body work. The car has been fully detailed. Beautiful to look at and drive on main street, catches eyes but it does not have the sparkling brand new quality of a #1.

Rated #3 -- Car or truck is in presentable but you can see obvious signs of wear. The vehicle is very clean, but not detailed out.  There are no dents, no rust, and most definetely no rust-through anywhere. The paint looks shiny but a paint job is necessary if you want it to look restored.  Runs and drives well, although some minor mechanical or cosmetic work is needed.  A vehicle with a #3 rating is fully usable and enjoyable as is.

Rated #4 -- This vehicle runs and drives but needs work throughout the vehicle. Body shows signs of wear or previous restoration work, not always well done. Any rust is minimal and not in any structural areas. Cosmetics, body, and mechanics all need work to some degree.  Note:  It is very common for owners to price their vehicles one or two ratings above the true condition of their cars or trucks.

Rated #5 -- This vehicle needs complete restoration, but it is complete.  It is not a rust bucket and it is not beyond repair. It may or may not run, and it is not road-ready.  In short, major restoration is necessary but feasible..

Parts or Salvage: Incomplete vehicle most useful for parts. Worth about half of what #5 is worth
